Bursaries

The following bursaries are offered with preference given to those who have demonstrated financial need and are pursuing an education in film, television, video, or theatre:

Capilano College Film Centre	$1000 bursary
Emily Carr Institute	$1000 bursary
Simon Fraser University	$2000 bursary
University of British Columbia	$2000 bursary
University of Victoria	$1000 bursary

IATSE Local 891 has committed to the following distribution of bursaries until the year of 2010. In the period of April - June of 2010, the Good and Welfare Committee, in conjunction with the Business Representative, will determine the facilities which will receive the funds for the next three-year period, which will extend from 2011-2013.
